Bye Bye Micky

After weeks of speculation, the almost inevitable has happened and Coventry City have saked Micky Adams.

I totally understand the reasons for the decision. Results have been appaling, performances have been terrible (We were both at the 5-0 away hammering by West Brom)

There are various names been banded around as his successor, time will tell. I just hope whoever it is gets the support they need.

I wish Micky all the best for the future. He was by all accounts a lovely guy, very genuine and tried his best. The dignity in which he has handled the last 24 hours is to be admired.

I have nothing but admiration for Micky Adams, I think he was a good manager and open and honest from day 1.

I know Cov have had a bad run of late , but I'd hate to see Micky being the easy victim, as was Gordon a few years back.

It's amazing how quickly fans have turned against the club and manager.

I know where you're coming from Rob, but I think something was seriously wrong.

I've seen Coventry play about 12 times this season, home and away, and something isn't right.

We may not have the most talented players in the world, but there has been a distinct lack of effort.

Some of the players appeared not to care, it's like there is a lack of belief in their own abilities.

Crucially it appears there is has been a serious lack of motivation which is the manager's job.

The 2nd half of last season this wasn't the case, but I have to wonder how much of that was down to Adams and how much was down to Dennis Wise.

Whenever Wise played, the team clicked - once he was gone, they were a shadow of their former selves.

I can handle Coventry losing if I go away from the games convinced they have given it 100% - I've never felt that this season.

Time will tell if it was the right decision, time will tell if the right manager is appointed.

Something needed to be done, let's hope this was the right thing.
