Easy like sunday morning...

Sunday, an evil day.

Ostensively it's a good day. Relaxed, easy, chilled.

However it usually spends the end of good things. A nice weekend with a loved one, a holiday or just a break.

I hate sundays.

Having said all that, today is a good day - I get to see Davey for the first time since Tuesday - yay for sundays.

I love sundays.

If you are reading this blog without actually knowing me, then there is one thing I should let you know - I am incredibly fickle.

I have very strong opinions, I like to express those opionions, but I am prone to changing them without warning.

Last night I went out for a meal in Birmingham for my friend Justin's birthday. I very rarely see Justin these days, so consequently I don't know many of his friends - all 41 of them that were there!

The meal was at one of these "all you can eat" Indian/Chinese buffet places which have sprung up all over the place.

Personally, I'm not a great fan of them - well, not on a saturday night when they are incredibly busy and noisy. I like my meal brought to me, I don't like having to queue for it behind a couple of nauseating hen parties.

I also feel that the emphasis is too highly placed on quantity over quality.

They do remind me of an episode of The Simpsons though (one of my favourite tv shows) - "All you can eat! ALL YOU CAN EAT!!!"

It was good to catch up with Justin, and I also saw Simon there - another friend who I don't see nearly enough of these days.

Maybe it's time for an early new year's resolution - make more of an effort to see my friends.

I can add it to the anual 'give up smoking' resolution I make which usually lasts a few hours.

A good start - Hungover

Greetings,

I start my first ever blog posting hungover.

And indication of things to come perhaps?

We took out all of our staff (well, all that wanted to go) for a meal and some drinks last night.

I decided to keep an open tab behind the bar, 12 people managed to spend £250 in 3 hours - nothing like free alcohol for a morale boost.

We had drinks and a meal at the Village Hotel, then a few of us caught a cab into town and went to Prague, and the newly-opened (and fabulous) Dogma.

We've got an amazingly busy month ahead in December, so we thought it would be nice to have a pre-manic time night out.

Today I woke up at about 8 and phoned Davey. He's away on a training residential weekend so I managed to catch him before it started, which was nice.

After I finished the phone call I decided to go back to bed for an hour... and woke up at 1:30!

Damn, there's my plans for the day out the window.

Tonight I am going over to Birmingham to have a meal with Justin and others for his birthday. I'm currently debating whether to catch the train or drive. I think driving will win - I'm not really in the mood to get drunk and I don't fancy central trains later tonight - Virgin trains stop running at about 10 on a saturday.

I'm driving to Ludlow tomorrow afternoon to pick Davey up, then back to Malvern to at least have a little bit of time together this weekend.

I'll do my best to keep this blog updated, but I'm making no promises!

Ciao
